Pneumatic actuators: versatile drives for your process
Pneumatic actuators are essential for efficiently opening and closing valves in industrial processes. Single-acting actuators, which can be spring-closing or spring-opening, use compressed air on one side and springs to return to their original position. This is ideal in the event of power or air pressure failure. Double-acting actuators, by contrast, operate pneumatically on both sides of the piston, offering more functionality and enabling higher cycle speeds. Both types of actuators are safe, maintenance-free, and compact thanks to the rack-and-pinion principle and aluminium construction. We also supply standard Ex-certified actuators with matching accessories, including switch boxes, solenoids, and gearboxes. Our actuators can be fully custom-built and tested to integrate perfectly into any production process.
Features and benefits
- Single-acting: spring-closing or spring-opening, saves compressed air and maintains the base position in the event of pressure failure
- Double-acting: offers more functionality and higher speed
- Compact and lightweight: rack-and-pinion design with aluminium components
- Maintenance-free: no external moving parts for maximum safety
- Ex-certified accessories: switch boxes, solenoids, gearboxes, and more
- Custom-made: fully configurable and tested for optimal performance
